Check your timeline filter first
The most common cause of "wrong" revenue numbers is the timeline filter in the top right corner of the Revenue dashboard. The default view may be set to "Last 12 months" rather than "All time," which can make it look like earnings are much lower than expected.
To see your full earnings history: Click the timeline filter and select All. This shows your total cumulative earnings across all connected sources.
My source isn't showing any data
If a connected source shows no revenue or a $0 balance, check the following:
Is the source still connected? Go to the Sources tab and check the connection status. Sources can time out and need to be periodically refreshed. If it shows "Disconnected" or "Logged out," click Reconnect.
Was the connection recent? After a new connection, it can take 24–48 hours for data to fully import.
Does the source have earnings to report? If you haven't generated royalties through that platform, it will show $0.
The numbers don't match what my distributor shows
Differences between Mogul's figures and your distributor's dashboard are usually caused by:
Different reporting periods: Distributors and Mogul may be pulling data from different date ranges. Make sure you're comparing the same time windows.
Distributor processing delays: Royalties are typically reported 3–6 months after they're earned. If you're comparing current month earnings, they likely haven't been reported yet.
Revenue type differences: Mogul separates publishing mechanical royalties, performance royalties, and master/neighboring rights earnings. Your distributor may only show master recording income (what they pay you), not publishing income.
Sony Music / Vydia / other sources show wrong amounts
Some sources require manual statement uploads rather than live connections. If your data from a specific source looks incorrect, check whether there's a newer statement available that needs to be imported. Contact support if you're seeing persistent inaccuracies on a connected source, and we can investigate and resync the data.
When to contact support
Reach out if revenue remains incorrect after checking the timeline filter and source connections, or if you see a specific discrepancy you believe is a data error. Use the chat bubble and let us know which source and which time period looks wrong.
