What is Google SSO?
SSO stands for Single Sign-On. Some distributors, PROs, and other platforms allow you to access your account by clicking “Sign in with Google” rather than entering a separate account and password.
While you can continue using Google SSO when accessing that platform directly, Mogul needs a standard username/email and password to connect to the source.
How to connect the source to Mogul
If you currently sign in to the source using Google, follow these steps:
Go directly to the source’s website outside of Mogul.
Sign in using your Google account as you normally would.
Open the source’s Account, Profile, Security, or Login Settings.
Look for an option to create or set a password for your account.
Create a password associated with the email address on your account.
Return to Mogul and go to the Sources tab.
Find the source you want to connect and click Connect.
Enter the email/username and password you created directly with the source.
Once those credentials are verified, Mogul should be able to connect to your source.
What if I can’t create a password?
Some platforms may not allow you to add a password to an account that was originally created using Google SSO.
In that case, you may need to create a new account directly with the source using a standard email and password instead of “Sign in with Google.”
Check the source’s account or security settings first, or contact their support team to ask whether your Google-based account can be converted to a standard email/password login.
Why can’t I connect using “Sign in with Google”?
Mogul currently does not support Google SSO authentication when connecting sources. Even if you normally access the source using Google, Mogul needs login credentials created directly with that source.
Once you have a standard email/username and password for the source, you can return to Mogul and connect it normally.
