Before you start
Make sure you have your DistroKid login credentials (email and password) ready.
Step-by-step: Connecting DistroKid
Go to the Sources tab in your Mogul account.
Find DistroKid in the list of available sources and click Connect.
Enter your DistroKid email address and password.
Click Connect Account.
How long does it take?
DistroKid connections typically take 5–10 minutes to complete. This is longer than most other sources because Mogul needs to pull your full catalog data from DistroKid's servers.
You'll see a spinning indicator or "Connecting..." status during this time. This is completely normal. Do not refresh the page or click Connect again.
What does "connecting" mean?
When you connect DistroKid, Mogul is securely pulling your catalog data (song titles, ISRCs, release dates) and your earnings statements. This data is used to identify your songs and check whether they're properly registered for royalty collection.
What if it's been more than 15 minutes?
If your DistroKid connection appears stuck for longer than 15 minutes:
Refresh the Sources page to check the current status.
If the status shows "Failed," don't panic. Failed connections automatically enter our engineering retry queue and are typically resolved within a few hours.
If you still see a failure after 24 hours, contact our support team via the chat bubble or [email protected].
Reconnecting DistroKid
If you ever need to reconnect (e.g., you changed your DistroKid password), go to Sources, find DistroKid, and click Reconnect. Follow the same steps above.
DistroKid isn't showing all my songs
If some songs are missing after connection, it may be because they were released under a different DistroKid account or before a certain date. Contact [email protected], and we'll help investigate.
