Can I undo a registration I submitted by mistake?
It depends on how far along the registration is. Here's the general rule:
Not yet submitted to the organization: If your registration is still in a "pending" or "in progress" state within Mogul, contact our support team immediately via the chat bubble or [email protected], and we can cancel it before it's sent.
Already submitted: Once a registration has been submitted to the MLC, ASCAP, BMI, or SoundExchange, it cannot be fully deleted, but it can be corrected or flagged for removal through those organizations' amendment processes.
Common scenarios
I registered a song that's already registered through another publisher or admin
If you submitted a registration for a song that's already registered through another publisher (e.g., you're with Songtrust or BMG and accidentally submitted through Mogul too), contact our support team. We can flag this as a duplicate and initiate the correction process with the relevant organization.
I registered a song I don't own
If you accidentally registered a song you don't own or have rights to, contact support immediately. We'll help you submit a retraction to the appropriate organization.
I submitted the wrong song information
If you submitted a registration with incorrect data (wrong title, wrong ISRC, wrong splits), go to Registrations → Fix Issues and look for that song. You may be able to submit a correction directly. If the song isn't showing a fixable issue, contact support and we'll manually amend the submission.
How to contact support
Click the chat bubble in the bottom right corner of any page in your Mogul account. Describe what happened and which song is affected. Include the song title and any relevant details. Our team typically responds within 5 minutes during business hours. You can also contact [email protected] for additional questions.
